The Shimazaki Brewery was founded in 1849 in Nasukarasuyama, Tochigi Prefecture. The brewery markets its aged sake under the brand name Uroko, which has been aged in a cave located near the brewery since 1970.

The brewery's flagship product is the up to 20 years aged Daiginjo made from the excellent Azumariki Daiginjo, which we also have in our portfolio to enable you to make a tasting comparison.

In addition, the brewery has other interesting aged products, like the Yamahai Junmai and the Yamahai Ginjo. And it is no wonder that the president, Mr. Kenichi Shimazaki, has won numerous medals with his aged sake, amongst others  in the prestigious French Kura Master Sake Competition and the sake section of the International Wine Challenge (IWC).
