Himeji, Präfektur Hyogo
Today's Honda Brewery was founded in Himeji in the Harima region of Hyogo Prefecture in 1921, while the Honda family is believed to have been making sake since 1688. The brewery markets its sake under the brand Tatsuriki, the power of the dragon.
The brewery is, amongst others, known for its rice cultivation research work, and it is very important for them that every sake reflects the aroma and taste of the rice varieties used from the best locations in the region.
The president of the brewery, Mr. Honda, is also the president of the Japanese Vintage Sake Association and therefore we are especially proud to present the brewery's Aged Sakes.
The Aged Sake are matured in tanks and bottles and have been waiting for years for their destiny, especially the numerous medals, e.g. in the prestigious French Kura Master Sake Competition and the sake section of the International Wine Challenge (IWC).
