The Kawashiri Brewery was founded in 1839 in Hida-Takayama, Gifu Prefecture.

and sells its sake under the Hidamasamune brand.

The term masamune stands for excellence in Japanese, and Mr. Hideo Kawashiri, the seventh-generation owner and brewer, can rightfully make such claim. The brewery is one of the few breweries that exclusively produce Aged Sake.

Each year, starting in January, the brewery brews small quantities of sake that are aged in tanks at ambient temperatures for many years.

Our portfolio covers the brewery's complete Aged Sake range and includes an excellent plum sake based on a sake that has been aged since 2014.

It is not without reason that the brewery has so far won medals for its products, including in the prestigious French Kura Master Sake Competition, the sake section of the International Wine Challenge (IWC) and the Milan Sake Competition.
