AGED SAKE

means to enjoy fine Japanese premium sake in a new way with pronounced and complex aroma and flavor intensity and variety.

Conventional sake is brewed in an annual cycle and drunk young. Aged sake, however, is stored for three to twenty years or longer.

The long maturation gives the sake a full body and robust character with balanced sweetness, acidity, umami and delicate bitterness. A strong texture and a long finish contribute to an inimitable enjoyment.

Aged sake can be dry like a red wine, refreshing with slight sweetness and acidity like a white wine or aromatic like a dessert wine.

Its wide variety of aromas and flavors ranges from sweet notes (honey, brown

sugar, molasses, caramel, vanilla and dried fruit) over to butter, chocolate and coffee and nutty notes (almond and walnut), to spices (anis, clove, cinnamon, pepper and nutmeg) as well as savory notes (soy sauce, shiitake, pickled vegetables and bouillon).

In terms of color, Aged Sake has many facets that reach from lemon, over gold to amber and dark brown.

As non-distilled, but brewed beverage with an average alcohol content of 14% to 18%, Aged Sake is very pleasant to enjoy.

Aged Sake is already waiting to become your new favorite drink on special occasions.
