Masamune-Kun Umeshu
Japanese Dessert-Sake - Aged
Details
Brewing year 2019, made of water, rice, koji rice, ume fruit, brewing alcohol and cane sugar.
Crafted in the Kawashiri Brewery, which was founded in Japan in 1839, located in the town of Hida-Takayama in the mountainous region of the Gifu Prefecture.
Conventional Umeshu is mostly made on the basis of brandy (shochu), but this noble drop is made with Japanese Craft Sake of the Genshu Hidamasamune variety that has been maturing since 2011.
Paired with the fresh, fruity flavour of the famous Nanko-Ume from Minabe in the Waka-yama prefecture, this unique dessert Sake unfolds a deep-layered apricot and almond aroma.
The ume (Prunus mume) is a fruit from the genus Prunus, to which the apricot and plum belong, whereby the ume is more closely related to the apricot in terms of its botanical heritage and taste.
